Brent’s hair of content
WHEN Hairscience phoned and offered a free touch-up Brent Guerra
said “Yeah, Yeah” After several years of putting up with the premature balding,
Guerra is now showing off the result of his cosmetic follicle therapy. “I
jumped at the opportunity. It makes me look younger,” Guerra said yesterday.’
Tipped to be selected by Hawthorn in the pre-season draft, Guerra had been
sporting the new head of hair at training at Glenferrie Oval this week. The
treatment is finished and Guerra couldn’t be happier- even some of his former
St Kilda teammates have struggled to notice the difference. “A couple of them
have said, “There’s something different, what is it? “I Just pointed to that
hair and said “That’s it mate”.” Guerra is commonly known as “Goo among his
mates, but has also copped the “ManChild” nickname for looking more like 33
than 23. Now he gets to look at his age, with some already saying he looks like
Alan Didak’s long lost brother. Guerra, delisted by the Saints at the end of
the season, is chasing a third chance after starting his career at Port
Adelaide. Speculation is rife Hawthorn will take Guerra in the December 13
draft.

Hair Pursuit
Herald Sun, Saturday, April 18, 2009
NORTH Melbourne giant David Hale has had a makeover ahead of
this wedding later this year. The 26-year-old revealed he recently had a hair
transplant in a bid to enhance his curly locks. “I’d been copping it a bit from
some of the boys at the club for losing my hair, so, I thought it was a good
opportunity” Hale said. “Now I’m getting picked on a bit for having the
treatment done. But footy clubs are like that, and at least now I’ll have a
full head of hair.” Hale was offered the treatment by Melbourne-based company
Hairscience. “They approached me and I just thought it was a good opportunity,”
Hale said. “The head’s looking pretty good now.” Hale’s treatment, cosmetic
follicle therapy, involved replicating his own hair and attaching it to the
balding areas with a skin-grafting procedure. “It didn’t hurt, I didn’t really
feel much at all,” Hale said. “It’s like going to the hairdressers, except my
haircuts usually take five minutes and this took about 2 hours.” Hale is
following the footsteps of Hawthorn player Brent Guerra, who had a hair
treatment at Hairscience in 2005.

The Pulse with Daryl Timms
Hair’s your chance, boys
Herald Sun, Tuesday, December 6, 2005
WATCH out G-Train, you’re next. After the success with Fraser
Gehrig’s former teammate Brent Guerra, Hairscience hopes the Saints
full-forward may also be interested in putting some back on top. But the list
doesn’t stop with Gehrig... Melbourne captain David Neitz, Sydney’s Barry Hall,
Umpire Scott McLaren, And Wayne Carey are other footy people lacking action up
top. Hairscience’s director Steve Sindiris says most people who take his
Melbourne clinic’s treatment see results in six or seven weeks and hopes Gerhig
will be interested in the program.
